A time for reflection
Following Saint Paul, John Eudes (1601–1680) invites us to let Jesus take shape within us. He shares the art of prayer in simple words rooted in everyday life.

Prayer in daily life
A prayer by Saint John Eudes each day, in audio and text, to nourish personal and communal life. The landscapes of Québec’s North Shore accompany this daily offering through the seasons.
A message to hear
An associate of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary since 2008, in the Diocese of Évry-Corbeil-Essonnes in the Province of France. I also translate Congregation documents between Spanish and French at the request of the Superior General.
Married for 50 years, mother of three and grandmother of eight. After retiring from teaching, I began exploring Eudist spirituality more deeply. In 2011, through Elisabeth Hébert, I joined the Friends and Associates group in Brétigny.
A widow with one daughter and six grandchildren, I am a practicing Catholic and have volunteered in many areas since I was 20. Aviation has been my passion since I was 17. I live in the Paris region and am a friend of the Eudists’ Essonne Sud group. When I have time, I enjoy reading for people with visual impairments.

Writings of our founder
Written for his fellow priests, religious women, and friends, these letters reveal a spirituality shaped by the encounters and trials of daily life. They invite us to grow in trust in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, nurture our inner life, let Jesus live within us, and welcome the Holy Spirit.
This manuscript, dated March 25, 1637 and signed in the blood of Saint John Eudes, is kept at the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd in Cormelles-le-Royal.
O most loving Jesus, I adore and glorify you countless times for the most painful martyrdom you endured in your Passion and on the cross.
I adore and bless you as best I can in your state as offering and victim in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar, where you are continually offered for the glory of your Father and out of love for us.
I honor and revere you in the great suffering your holy Mother endured at the foot of your cross. I praise and magnify you in the many martyrs among your saints, who endured such terrible torments out of love for you.
I adore and bless all the thoughts, purposes, and infinite love you have had from all eternity for all the blessed martyrs who have lived since the beginning and who will live in your holy Church until the end of the world.
